How Cloud Mode works
  1. Upload: Your audio file is uploaded via an encrypted TLS 1.3 connection to our EU servers in Frankfurt and stored with AES-256 encryption
  2. Processing: Our servers transcribe using the Nova-3 AI engine (not OpenAI Whisper)
  3. Download: Receive your transcription as Word (.docx), PDF, or subtitle file (.srt)
  4. Auto-delete: Audio files are deleted from our servers immediately after processing

Your data is never used to train AI models. For external AI services we use, their API terms prohibit training on customer data.

Private Pro Mode

Absolute privacy — audio never leaves your device

Private Pro Mode is NOT for everyone.

This mode exists for professionals who legally or ethically cannot upload audio to any cloud service. If you work with attorney-client privilege, patient confidentiality, classified material, or trade secrets, this is essential. For all other use cases, Cloud Mode offers excellent privacy with better speed and accessibility.

How Private Pro Mode works
  1. Activate: Enable Private Pro Mode in your dashboard (includes automatic browser compatibility check)
  2. First-time setup: Your browser downloads the AI model files (one-time, ~2GB). This requires an internet connection.
  3. Select audio: Choose your audio file. The file stays on your device — it is never uploaded.
  4. Local processing: Your device (using WebGPU) processes the transcription entirely locally. Nothing leaves your computer.
  5. Export: Save the transcription directly to your device as Word, PDF, or text file.

Technical: how is this possible?

Private Pro Mode uses WebGPU, a cutting-edge browser technology that allows AI models to run directly on your GPU. This is the same technology used by Photoshop and other professional tools for local AI processing. After the initial model download, everything happens on your device.

Not all devices support Private Pro Mode. Your browser must support WebGPU, and your device needs adequate hardware. The dashboard includes an automatic compatibility check.
